14 races + 1 Walking wave
You’ll be invited to join by email if you ran a previous COLDERBolder or BOLDERBoulder.
The First 13 Invitational Races Are Organized by Pace.
Those who finished the 2024 COLDERBolder or 2025 BOLDERBoulder will be invited by email.
Everyone earns a Finisher’s Medal, but the top 6 finishers in each race earn a special Cold Medal. Everyone has a fair shot to be in the top 6 because you only run with people your speed. For example, if you ran the BOLDERBoulder in 52 minutes your race only includes people who finished between 52:00-53:59 minutes. This is truly your chance at eternal fame and racing glory!
Open Race
The Open Race is for any speed, but it’s most fun to do the COLDERBolder alongside people your pace, so check your last BOLDERBoulder finish time, you may qualify to join one of the first 13 invitational races.
Walking Wave
The Walking Wave is open for those who want a festive, BRRRisk stroll through CU campus and our winter wonderland. The Walking Wave is not a race (no 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place Cold Medals), but all will receive a Finisher’s Medal!
Virtual Race
There are a limited number of virtual registrations for those who can’t make it.

There is no race day registration for the COLDERBolder. It sells out every year.

If you sign up and can’t participate,
you can roll registration to next year for $30.
